LARRY WALL AND TINA HUNTINGTON AWARDED THE 2014 KANSAS ASSOCIATION FOR JUSTICE “CONSUMER CHAMPION AWARD”

We are proud to announce that Larry Wall and Tina Huntington were selected as co-recipients of the “2014 Consumer Champion Award” by the Kansas Association for Justice (KSAJ). This award was for the actions of preserving the civil rights of mentally ill and disabled prisoners housed in the Sedgwick County Jail. The lawsuit exposed a culture of cruelty to those helpless individuals. It was highly publicized in local and national press and television. It was a factor in the defeat of the then current Sheriff. The lawsuit caused the institution of new policies and facilities for the safe and humane treatment of mentally ill and disabled prisoners. Thank you to our client for selecting us to pursue the matter on his behalf. Thank you to our Wichita colleagues for nominating us for this award. And thank you to KSAJ for recognizing our efforts and bestowing this great honor upon us. We are truly grateful.
