The roads of the nation for bicycle riders are getting more dangerous. A recent study sponsored by the Governors Highway Safety Association found that annual bicycle deaths in the US were up 16 percent from 621 in 2010 to 722 in 2012. In the same period, fatalities for motorists increased only one percent. We want to provide you with some bike safety tips so that you can avoid an accident.
Here are some bike safety tips.
- Wear a helmet.
- Ride sober-28 % who die are legally intoxicated.
- Ride during the day.
- Use a headlight and a tail-light at all times.
- Stay off highways.
